U.S. Veteran

Robert Kerstiens age 81 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Sunday October 6, 2013 in the Auburn Health Care. He was born in Loretto, Tennessee on October 27, 1931 to the late Henry I. and Regina Beyke Kerstiens. He is preceded in death by a daughter Regina Kerstiens, Grandson Gregory Kerstiens 2 Sisters Magdeline Rohling and Marie Patt, 3 Brothers John Burnard Kerstiens, James Henry Kerstiens and Richard Clarence Kerstiens He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and retired from the TVA Paradise Steam Plant. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Russellville, Kentucky and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Navy and is survived by: Wife – Betty Kerstiens 2 Sons – Patrick Kerstiens and Beverly of Russellville, Kentucky Greg Kerstiens and Marilane of Russellville, Kentucky 1 Daughter – Carol Kees and John of Russellville, Kentucky 1 Sister – Josephine Hollman of Loretto, Tennessee Grandchildren – Stephen Kerstiens, Blake Kerstiens, Adam Kees, Ben Kees, Heather Wamble, Great Grandchildren – John Patrick Wamble, Ethan Wamble and Luke Wamble

Funeral Mass for Robert Kerstiens will be held Thursday October 10, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bob Drury officiating and burial to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Young Funeral Home Russellville Chapel.

The family request Memorial Contributions to the Parkinsons Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
